This was one of the first AI-assisted games built using Claude Code. I wanted to explore the tool's capabilities, playability, and creativity. It is supposed to be light-hearted, and the assets were built using p5.js simple shapes. Nothing was sourced from copyrighted artists' work.

My central questions are:

  • AI coding assistance makes game development more accessible to people without formal programming backgrounds.
  • AI coding assistance reduces the time it takes a beginner to build a working prototype.
  • AI coding assistance expands the range of projects an individual developer can realistically attempt.
  • Relying on AI coding assistance weakens a developer's own programming skills over time.
  • Games built with substantial AI coding assistance are less authentic as creative work than games built without it.
